John Romero's Bitch Award

for biggest disappointment in 2015

More years in development than hours of gameplay.
The Order: 1886
Ready at Dawn
Another sad example on how you can't make a game based only on a neat concept and expect it to become big. Boring gameplay feedback, unnecessary pre-order packages that just confused buyers and stupid leveling unlock system to use your skills and new features. The mobile app was more well-received by players than the game itself.
Evolve
Turtle Rock Studios
While, aesthetically speaking, far superior than its 2012 predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles X still forgets to improve on wonky controls, crude animations and stiff combat.
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Monolith Soft
Although the gameplay itself was as solid as ever, CD Projeckt Red finally committed one of the worst sins any developer can make - downgrading the graphics on the series native platform, the PC.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
CD Projekt Red
A turd wrapped in a nice, shiny, Star Wars themed package. It makes lightsaber sounds if you play with it.
Star Wars Battlefront
EA DICE
The Tony Hawk's series has been in decline since the Ps2 era and the last interesting open-world skating games, like american wasteland. Now it's only another sad cash cow that activision still tries to milk, adding unnecessary online gimmicks, Lil' Wayne and wonky gameplay.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5
Robomodo
I don't think we even need to explain.
Batman: Arkham Knight
Rocksteady Studios
The biggest disappointment is knowing how much more there could have been if Konami hadn't been there.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Directed by Hideo Kojima
Bethesda manages to, yet again, dumb down Fallout even further. Story, mechanics, characters, dialogues, no matter where you look, you'll find something that was taken apart and rebuilt, with pieces being left out.
Fallout 4
Bethesda Game Studios
While the attempt to expand on the world and setting, Hotline Miami 2 ends up fiddling too much with the gameplay formula that made it fun and fast. Gone are the door shenanigans and constant weapon swap to make space for more scripted missions, less weapon variety for each new character and MANY, MANY MORE glass windows.
